The Te Huruhi Community Pool is a 25m outdoor pool – located in the grounds of the Te Huruhi Primary School, Waiheke Island.

The key roles we are after are Lifeguards and Swimming Teachers. If you are interested in either role, please get in touch below.

We are looking for part-time lifeguards who are observant, patient, and good with people. Your job will be to ensure our users are safe and have fun at our pool. As the person responsible for their safety during opening hours, you will have the confidence to act in a quick, responsible and calm manner.

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Right to work in NZ
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current New Zealand based Lifeguard certification
  • Willing to submit to (and able to pass) NZ Police vetting (as you will be working with children)

If you do not currently have one of the requirements, but are still interested in the position of Lifeguard, please get in touch and we will talk through how to get you fully qualified for the role

Over summer holidays we look to open every day (dependent on sufficient lifeguard staff). During the school term we operate outside of school hours – generally Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. As we are an outdoor facility, our season finishes in April 2019. We recognise that you may only be available at certain times, so even if you are not able to commit to all our hours, please get in touch to discuss what may work for you.
