The key roles we are after are Lifeguards and Swimming Teachers. If you are interested in either role, please get in touch below.

Swim Teachers

Swimgym at the Te Huruhi Community Pool teaches the children of Waiheke how to swim. And we need you to continue this proud tradition in 2020.

You may be a semi-retiree who wants to work in a rewarding occupation for a small number of hours per week. We welcome a variety of applicants to teach our students, who range from 3-15 years of age.

Swim teachers need the AustSwim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification which consists of a two-day course, a competency assessment and 10 hours of lesson plans. Swimgym will pay for this certification for teachers that have committed to teaching with us.
